Philadelphia is steeped in culture with an amazingly rich history. Streets delineate the city into blocks, which form communities filled with an ever-changing culture. To capture this cultural evolution, the artist researched the past and combined iconic, historic images like William Penn and Shackamaxon, with icons of the recent past like Jack Frost Sugar Refinery. Through the brightly colored, painted aluminum panels, a glimpse of the community and the people, who make up the tiny city within the big city, beneath the tracks are revealed.
