Looking-Glass includes ninety-two "windows" or panels filling the spaces beneath the railings of all eight staircases and two ramps. The pieces are made of epoxy resin, which is colorful, transparent and translucent. The panels are embedded with mirrors, lenses, real and abstract elements and forms, many of which contain photos and objects gathered from the rich history of the Girard Avenue community. The staircases are divided in four colors, each with a different theme: Past, Present, Future and Current. Each window is designed to be unique, interactive, and reflective.
