Lifelines is a sculptural environment that evokes the natural form of a leaf. The spine of each leaf sweeps diagonally across the courtyard with secondary veins fanning out on both sides to establish functional granite seating areas. Punctuating the leaf spines are five vertical, semi-transparent glass and aluminum towers, shaped as leaf forms, positioned in an undulating pattern. This work of art is designed to bring natural form and light during the day and serves as a beacon of light at night to this renovated courtyard in the heart of the City.
