Fare Information for Transit & Regional Rail Travel

With the introduction of Travel Wallet on Regional Rail and the end of paper ticket sales, the options for fare purchase are a SEPTA Key Card, SEPTA Key Quick Trip, or cash

Bus, Trolley, Trackless Trolley, Broad Street & Broad Ridge Spur Lines, Market Frankford Line, Norristown High Speed Line Airport, Chestnut Hill East, Chestnut Hill West, Cynwyd, Fox Chase, Lansdale/Doylestown, Manayunk/Norristown, Media/Elwyn, Paoli/Thorndale, Trenton, Warminster, West Trenton, Wilmington/Newark Lines

SEPTA Key Fares Accepted on Transit

SEPTA Key Card loaded with a valid Pass - Weekly or Monthly TransPass. TrailPass (all Zones) Weekly or Monthly Cross County Pass (as applicable), One Day Convenience Pass or 3 Day Convenience Pass; One Day Independence Pass

SEPTA Key Card loaded with Travel Wallet funds - Transfers - available only with money in the Travel Wallet - First Transfer FREE, second transfer $1.00
Time window to use transfer - 2 hours

SEPTA Key Reduced Fare Card

Transit Quick Trip (valid only for use at Broad St, Market Frankford Line Stations) - purchase from Station Fare Kiosk – use on the date shown on front for travel from any station.
NOT Valid on Buses or Regional Rail

All children, under the age of 12, riding with a fare paying adult - FREE

SEPTA Key Fares Accepted on Regional Rail

SEPTA Key Card loaded with a Weekly or Monthly Zone 1 or higher TrailPass, One Day Independence Pass or 3 Pass Independence Pass Bundle; or Cross County Pass (as applicable)

Valid TransPass or a Cross County Pass is good for ANYWHERE travel on WEEKENDS and major holidays.

SEPTA Key Card loaded with Travel Wallet funds (replaces paper tickets/alternate to paying cash)

All children, under the age of 12, riding with a fare paying adult - FREE. Free Quick Trip available at Center City Regional Rail Station Sales Windows for Children, under the age of 12, traveling with a fare paying adult. A Quick Trip is needed to access the Station fareline

Children 12 and older must pay regular Adult Fare - Key Card, Quick Trip, cash

SEPTA Key Travel Tip for Regional Rail

  • Regional Rail customers must TAP ON at a platform Validator or turnstile at the start of their trip and TAP OFF at platform Validator or turnstile at the end of their trip. It is important to TAP*RIDE*TAP to ensure that you pay the proper and most discounted fare.

Parking

  • Daily Parking/Permit Parking fees remain suspended - information will be posted on septa.org and at stations when parking fee payment resumes

  • SEPTA Sales Offices: Offer SEPTA Key Cards that can be loaded with a Weekly/Monthly TransPass, Weekly TrailPasses Zones 1,2,3, Anywhere, One Day Convenience Pass/3 Day Convenience Pass, One Day Independence Pass/3 Pass Independence Pass bundle, or Travel Wallet funds

  • Outlying SEPTA Rail Station Sales Offices - SEPTA Key Cards are available for purchase and Pass and Travel Wallet load/reloads at select outlying Regional Rail Ticket Offices - check individual stations for details

  • External Sales Locations: over 500 retail sales locations available for SEPTA Key Sales.

  • Transit Stations & Select Bus Loop Fare Kiosks - SEPTA Key Cards available for purchase and Pass and Travel Wallet load/reload, Quick Trips (Only available for purchase and travel on Broad Street and Market Frankford Line, select Trolley Stations, and Norristown Hill Speed Line at 69th Street)

  • Customers can visit www.septakey.org to load/reload products on a SEPTA Key Card
