SEPTA Key Update
April 15, 2016

As promised in our March 28th SEPTA Key message, we're back to announce the rollout date for the Early Adopters program for Transit customers.

Beginning Monday, June 13, 2016, up to 10,000 Transit riders will be able to get a new SEPTA Key Card and purchase either a Weekly or Monthly TransPass at the following SEPTA Transit Stations and at our headquarters at 1234 Market Street:

Market Frankford Line:

  • 69th Street Transportation Center
  • 52nd Street
  • 30th Street
  • 15th Street/Dilworth Park
  • Erie-Torresdale
  • Frankford Transportation Center

Broad Street Line:

  • Olney Transportation Center
  • Erie (South Mezzanine)
  • Cecil B. Moore
  • Dilworth Park
  • Walnut/Locust
  • Snyder

1234 Market Street:

  • Lobby Kiosks
  • SEPTA Sales Office (Lobby) Open Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

While we're limiting the number of initial locations where you can get a new SEPTA Key Card, everyone who joins our program can use their new Card for travel throughout our Transit system including:

  • Buses*
  • Trolleys (Routes 10, 11, 13, 15, 34, 36, 101, & 102)
  • Trackless Trolleys
  • Market Frankford Line
  • Broad Street Line
  • Norristown High Speed Line*

*Customers riding Bus Routes 123, 124, 125, 150 and the Norristown High Speed Line using the SEPTA Key Card with a TransPass must pay the additional fare as they do today with our current TranPass product.

We will be publishing more SEPTA Key Updates as we work toward the June 13th launch. SEPTA Ambassadors and other SEPTA personnel will be out at these locations, when we launch, to answer questions about the SEPTA Key Program, provide information on how to become an Early Adopter, and how to register your new Key Card for protection against loss or theft.

Once we start the Early Adopters program, your feedback using the SEPTA Key Card, reloading fare products, the overall performance of the system, and general impressions will be very important to assist us as we roll out more features of the Key program, refine our communication efforts, and identify possible program modifications. We will be providing a comment form on our SEPTA Key micro-site and we invite you to use to share your experiences and observations. Your support and contributions will play an important part in building the future of fare payment at SEPTA.
