Silverliner V Walking Tour

Download this video: MP4

Text of This Episode

The new Silverliner V focuses on customer comfort and convenience. First, you'll notice the middle seat, the least desirable to riders, has been eliminated in half the car. Every Silverliner now has enough room to easily and comfortably fit two wheelchairs or bicycles. Even boarding the train has been made easier for wheelchair customers with the automatic bridge plate. Further back, you can see more of the middle seats have been removed, and up above, there are new screens to help even the most experienced rider know where they are or the next stop. Entrance doors are placed a quarter of the way in to allow immediate access into the train, reducing the time at each stop. Also, take note of the digital displays in the train, showing the route, time, and location information. Exterior signs serve the same purpose, making it easier to know exactly which train you're boarding.
